In an exclusive interview with ZiMoja, actress Omuhle Gela opened up about her experiences with cosmetic enhancements and shared her insights on the evolving perceptions of beauty and self-improvement. Known for her stunning looks and candid personality, Omuhle revealed her approach to cosmetic procedures and how they have positively impacted her life.
“After the procedure, there will be a reddish coral tone, but it will heal into a soft natural pink or red. It is a semi-permanent cosmetic tattoo. The colour develops over eight to 10 weeks,” Omuhle explained, describing the intricate process and the patience required for the final results. “It takes time to heal but is worth it,” she added, highlighting the importance of giving oneself time to adjust and appreciate the changes.
Omuhle stressed the significance of personal satisfaction and self-love when it comes to body image. “I believe if one is unhappy about a part of their body, they have every right to fix it to their liking. Do you, as long as you are not harming anyone and it makes you feel good,” she stated confidently. This empowering message resonates with many who feel pressured by societal standards and emphasises the importance of individual happiness.
Reflecting on the changing attitudes towards cosmetic procedures, Omuhle observed, “Gone are the days when people used to hide that they have had some work done.” She pointed out that transparency and openness about enhancements are becoming more accepted and even celebrated. This shift allows people to embrace their choices without fear of judgment or stigma.
Although she remains open to future enhancements, Omuhle is currently satisfied with her appearance. “For now, I’m still content,” she shared, underscoring the balance between self-improvement and self-acceptance. Her journey reflects a broader trend of people taking control of their bodies and choices, prioritising their well-being and happiness above all.
