Omuhle Gela Confirms Immediate Exit From Uzalo. Earlier this year, Omuhle Gela joined the cast of Uzalo and became one of the leading cast members on the show. Whilst it seemed like it was all going well, there seem to have been disagreements behind the scenes which has resulted in Omuhle quitting the show.

The former Umlilo and Muvhango actress has confirmed with immediate effect that she has left the production. Taking to Instagram, Omuhle confirmed the news saying, “I’ve unfortunately made the decision to leave the show with immediate effect ,everything said on this article is 100% true and l have nothing further to add or dispute.”

The article refereed to by Gela, who portrayed the character of Nomaswazi, Njinji’s daughter, detailed how the actress had a misunderstanding with production after they changed her contract from what was agreed upon when she moved from Johannesburg to Kwazulu -Natal for the show. Omuhle reportedly did not pitch for work and as a result, the production allegedly decided to tell the rest of the cast to not come to work.

She also took to her Instastories writing, “Done taking BS from productions who don’t appreciate artists. Miss me .I don’t regret the decision I made and thank you for all your kind words and supportive messages. On to the next one”.
