Nyalleng Thibedi (Zekhethelo) Bids Farewell To Uzalo. SABC1 telenovela Uzalo has been making a few changes to it cast and has said goodbye to some of the most loved characters. Viewers of the show will be sad to learn that another well known actor from the show will unfortunately be leaving the show. The Daily Sun reports that actress Nyalleng Thibedi known for her role as Zekhethelo will be making her last appearance this week.
The actress joined the how in 2017 and will be making her last appearance on Friday, September 10th. It appears that the character feels there is nothing left for her in the community of KwaMashu after her plans of marrying pastor Sambulo Gwala didn’t work out. Her embarrassment is what is fuelling her decision to leave and her goodbye is apparently going to be a tear jerker.
“She is hurt because her expectations of becoming Pastor Sambulo Gwala’s wife didn’t become a reality. She feels embarrassed and because of that, she has decided to leave” a source said.
The publication has confirmed that after four years of working on the show, Nyalleng is leaving and will be focussing all her energy into her business venture. Most celebs have a side hustle that they usually take on due to the instability of the industry and Thibedi is the proud owner of her very own lipstick brand, and we are excited to know more about her boss moves.
This follows the departure of former Uzalo actor Nelisa Mchunu who plays the character of Fikile. Mchunu left viewers heartbroken after breaking up with her onscreen lover Sbu, and confirmed that she is leaving him for good. Taking to social media, Nelisa revealed that she had just shot her last episode for the show and reflected on her acting journey on the show.
According to the Daily Sun publication, a source revealed that Mchunu was not happy about her character being killed off and did her best to convince producers to keep Fikile however, the production went ahead with their final decision.
