Reality TV star Nonku Williams — known for her time on The Real Housewives of Durban — has been giving fans a front-row seat to the emotional and joyful moments leading up to her daughter’s final exams.
A few days ago Nonku posted about a milestone moment in her household: the last day before exams for the matric class of 2025. In a proud, heartfelt post she wrote:
“A day that will forever be etched in my heart! Yesterday was the last day before exams, and the matric class of 2025 celebrated in style! From the bell ringing ceremony to the beach swim in uniform (yes, they still got wet!) and the beautiful ceremony, dinner, and then… the party lit the night up! Watching my daughter and her friends have the time of their lives was pure joy. So proud of these young women and all they’ve achieved. Bring on the exams, they’re ready!

The pictures and clips Nonku shared show a mix of nostalgia and celebration: students in uniform ringing a school bell, standing next to the beach in school uniform and a having formal ceremony followed by a dinner and late-night party. For many parents, that combination of bittersweet goodbye and last-hurrah is all too familiar — a final chapter before the focused push of exam season.
But the social-media storytelling didn’t stop there. A few days earlier, on 3 October 2025, Nonku gave followers a laugh when she posted about a surprising parenting moment. She wrote:
“Lord have mercy! So Nothile comes to my room, makes me tea, and I’m thinking all is good… until she drops the bombshell: “Mommy, can I go on a double date tomorrow?” Um, did I miss the part where I signed up for this?!
Anyone else having to navigate these treacherous waters? Help me out, fam! Do I say yes and risk my sanity, or no and risk her eye-rolling expertise?”
Then on Saturday, 4 October 2025, Nonku returned to share an update with her usual candid humour: her daughter Nothile had indeed gone on a date — and the boy made quite the move. Nonku revealed:
“Update time! So, I took a deep breath and let Nothile go on that double date… and let’s just say it got interesting! The young man brought a plate to the table – not with food, but with a proposal! He asked Nothile to be his girltriend, and I’m still trying to process it all! Now I just want to lock her in her room and hide the keys! Does anyone have a spare set of handcuffs?”
