Actress, brand ambassador, and human rights activist Nomzamo Mbatha continues to shine as one of South Africa’s most influential women. This year, she was honoured with the Entertainment Game Changer award at the prestigious Glamour Women of the Year Awards, a ceremony that celebrates South African women who are making a lasting impact in their fields.

Glamour South Africa shared a powerful tribute to Nomzamo on their page, writing, “From commanding Hollywood screens to advocating for vulnerable communities, Actress, Humanitarian, and Storyteller, Nomzamo Mbatha is the embodiment of global excellence and grace. From SA to the world, she wears her heritage proudly as she continues to create social impact and blaze trails, her career is a masterclass in impact; as the founder of the Lighthouse Foundation, an initiative that gives young people access to education through bursaries. Nomzamo is also a mental health advocate, and uses her platforms to create awareness. Her on-screen presence shifts the atmosphere, affirming that ‘Black Child, your dreams are valid!’ As she continues to move with heart-first leadership, her story is testament to the fact that representation and resonance make for world-changing performance.”

This heartfelt message highlights not only her success in the entertainment industry but also her commitment to giving back, inspiring the next generation, and championing mental health awareness. Nomzamo has long been known as someone who leads with purpose, and her work through the Lighthouse Foundation continues to uplift young people across the country.

Under the post celebrating her latest award, Nomzamo added her own touching words, writing, “What a beautiful end to my year.”

The Glamour Women of the Year Awards is one of the most respected and anticipated events in South Africa.
