South African singer and songwriter Nomfundo Moh is gearing up for an exciting new chapter in her music career. The star has officially announced that she will be releasing her very first EP titled Out The Box on 26 September 2025.
Nomfundo, who has been winning hearts with her soulful sound, shared her excitement with fans a few days ago, writing:
“Heard that my MohFam is requesting for something to feast on this Summer.. Say no more, I’m here.. And this time we take it OUT THE BOX! 
26 September 2025 (EP).”
The upcoming project promises something fresh and meaningful. To make it even more special, Nomfundo has teamed up with some of the biggest names in the industry, including DJ Zinhle, Sun-El Musician, Loyiso Bala, and Nontokozo Mkhize.
Earlier today, the star gave her fans a taste of what’s to come when she dropped a one-minute snippet of a song from the EP. The track, titled Valelise, features award-winning gospel singer Nontokozo Mkhize. Opening up about the inspiration behind the song, Nomfundo said:
“4. VALELISE – I’m not sure how I feel yet, but this season does taste a bit like healing.. I wrote Valelise last year December, had severe flu ngingasindi coz I was stressed out kabuhlungu. Late October last year, life knocked me out when I lost a sister, a friend, who had a special place in my heart. I forced a studio session khona ngigula. @tuliagavana ngyabonga kakhulu for being patient with me when we recorded this, thank you for giving me a second chance to redeem myself and rerecord this song.”
Nomfundo explained how Nontokozo Mkhize’s contribution transformed Valelise into a deeply emotional masterpiece:
“She poured her heart out… it became a complete song, exactly the hug I needed for my healing. I cannot wait for people to hear the whole song. This is the most personal song on this EP. I hope it touches you as much as it touches me.”
With her raw honesty, vulnerability, and powerful collaborations, Nomfundo Moh’s Out The Box is already shaping up to be one of the most anticipated projects of the year.
