Mzansi Female Celebrities React To Gender Based Violence State Of Nation Address. Our local famous female’s took to social media to express their views on President Cyril Ramaphosa’s address, about gender-based violence and they are ready for the government to walk the talk.

The president addressed the nation Wednesday about the national crisis that is Gender-based violence at the hands of violent men after the spike of killings against women and children in the country has increased rapidly .

The president mentioned that it isn’t alcohol that provokes men to commit these inhumane crimes but rather, it is the actions of violent men although alcohol is also a contributing factor.

Ramaphosa spoke of the various regimes in which the government has put in place to reduce the rate of GBV even though the solution mainly rests in the hands of the men in Mzansi.

“The women of our country don’t feel safe in their homes, they don’t feel safe in their workplaces, places of worship and even just walking in the street. Young people, and in particular men, must become even more active in the fight against GBV” the President said.

The influential women of Mzansi gave their opinion on how the president is planning to tackle this national outcry and it looks like they are tired of the speeches and are calling for actions to be taken.
