Muvhango’s Raphael Griffiths Talks Being Criticized Over His Acting Skills! Raphael first mane a name for himself as a presenter for SABC2’s Q-base 28 and he was great at it.

He later ventured into acting when he joined the Muvhango cast, a territory he admits wasn’t his strong point. Raphael recently opened up about how he wasn’t a good actor and the criticism from the show’s fans.

“When I started presenting, I knew for sure I could do it. But when I got into acting, I was not an actor and only after stepping into it I realized, ‘man, you actually suck at this.’ I also got a lot of people just brutalizing me, everywhere even on social media and I thought, ‘yoh, maybe I should quit’,” he said.

Raphael says it’s all thanks to Duma Ndlovu for supporting and motivating him to do better.

“The faith that uBab’Duma had in me kept me going. Because when the whole country was saying, ‘fire this guy, he’s a bad actor’, he chose to believe in my potential.”
