Law graduate Bryoni Govender, the distinguished representative of South Africa at the upcoming Miss Universe pageant in El Salvador, recently took to her Instagram Story on Wednesday, November 15, to share her enthusiastic readiness for the international competition set to unfold this weekend.

Bryoni Govender, a notable Miss SA runner-up, has emerged as a frontrunner for the Miss Universe crown. The prestigious pageant is scheduled to grace the José Adolfo Pineda Arena in San Salvador, El Salvador, on Saturday, November 18. Remarkably, Bryoni holds the distinction of being the first woman of Indian descent to represent South Africa at the Miss Universe pageant since Kerishnie Naicker achieved the Top 10 placement in 1997.

The beauty queen, armed with a law degree, confidently expressed her preparedness for the upcoming pageant through her Instagram Story. In her own words, “As ready as I could have been! These last few months have prepared me, and now I have the opportunity to make my voice heard.”

Her readiness and determination to be a voice for change are evident. Setting the stage for a captivating and impactful performance at Miss Universe.

The 72nd edition of the Miss Universe pageant. Marking a significant moment in the international beauty competition. The reigning Miss Universe, R’Bonney Gabriel from the US, will gracefully crown her successor at the conclusion of the pageant.

Transgender entrants Rikkie Kollé of the Netherlands and Marina Machete of Portugal. Following Ángela Ponce of Spain in 2018, showcase the evolving inclusivity of the competition.

Moreover, the 72nd edition welcomes the debut of Pakistan and the return of Denmark, Egypt, Guyana, Hungary, Ireland, Kazakhstan, Latvia, Mongolia, Norway, and Zimbabwe to the Miss Universe competition.
