Minnie Dlamini Tests Positive For COVID-19 Again. Summer is officially here but TV personality and actress Minnie Dlamini Jones might just have to miss it after catching the dreaded COVID-19 again. A few days ago, it was reported by the media that a new COVID-19 variant called B11259 has taken over certain parts of the world including South Africa, and the infection levels are rapidly rising.
The virus is said to have mutated and taken a new form that is far more dangerous than any other previous variants and has been officially given the name Omicron. Following reports of the virus detection in Mzansi, multiple countries around the world have banned travel to and from countries in Southern Africa to properly monitor the new COVID variant.
Taking to Instagram, Minnie shared the sad news of testing positive for the Omicron variant with her followers. The mother of one shared that she doesn’t want the virus again after her previous battle with it. Hopefully the vaccine will do what it’s supposed to because we need our annual December fix of Minnie Dlamini poolside holiday photo dumps. She did not reveal if her family was safe or has also caught the virus but we are totally depressed on her behalf.
Minnie did not reveal when she tested positive for the virus but judging by the video, she looks quite bummed and is not happy about dealing with the virus yet again. A few months ago the HomeGround presenter took to social media to share that she and her family are going through a very tough time in their household. Minnie asked for prayers after revealing that her family on a time out after after testing positive for the virus.
The country was then experiencing a new wave of the Delta variant which allegedly originating from India, and rapidly wreaked havoc in the country. Minnie appealed to her followers to be very careful, because COVID is not a game. She later gave an update to her followers that her results came back negative and she was happy to have made a full recovery.
Minnie is not the first celebrity to catch the virus for then once as actress Katlego Danke, Zola Hashasti and more have reportedly battled the virus twice.
