It’s alleged that Minnie Dlamini just might have bagged herself another big deal. Currently the brand ambassador for Nedbank is singer and song writer Zahara whose real name is Bulelwa Mkutukana. Zahara has been the face of Nedbank for the past 3 years now but like most contracts her contract has come to an end and the bank is looking for a new face to represent them.
The Nedbank is currently talking to Minnie Dlamini’s management to get her on board as their new brand ambassador.
An independent source close to Minnie also confirmed to Sunday World that the bank approached her with a plan to replace Zahara in their brand campaigns by the end of year.
“They are waiting for Zahara’s contract to expire so they can bring Minnie on board,” the source said.
It’s reported that it was hard to get Zahara to come to most of Nedbank’s events and that’s one of the reasons why the bank does not plan to renew their contract with the singer.
Zahara also confirmed that her contract with Nedbank was coming to and but says that the rumours that surround the renewal of the contract are untrue.
“I signed a three-year contract with the bank; as I speak to you I’m preparing to attend their workshop in Sandton,” she said.
Zahara continues to say that she was unaware that Nedbank had plans to replace her as soon as her contract ends.
Nedbank’s general manager for communications, Nkosinathi Msiza, was quoted saying: “We are in discussions with Minnie Dlamini and others, details about the discussions will be made public in due course.”
Well if Minnie does bag the deal, congratulations girl, keep taking over the industry one deal at a time!!
