Tirelo Kale Opens Up About Heartbreak, Healing, and Putting Her Son First

Tirelo Kale, the girlfriend of Mpumelelo Mseleku and mother of his child, is facing a tough chapter in her life as seen in the trailer for the new season of Izingane Zes’thembu. The trailer hints at trouble in paradise, and Kale has now spoken openly about the struggles she’s dealing with in her relationship.

In an interview with Independent Media Lifestyle, Kale shared that she didn’t expect the problems in her relationship with Mpumelelo.

“I honestly didn’t see the cracks forming in our relationship,” she said. “It really seemed solid until it wasn’t. The betrayal … wow, I genuinely didn’t expect it.”

This heartbreak has pushed her into a new phase of her life — one focused on self-growth and reflection.

“This season has been a journey of eye-opening experiences for me, especially to a lot of things that I turned a blind eye to,” Kale said. “There’s going to be a lot of realising on my part.”

Even with all the drama in her personal life, Kale’s main focus remains her young son, Singabakho Mseleku.

“My son is my priority, no matter the drama happening in my relationship with Mpumelelo. I make sure he feels loved and safe,” she said.

Thankfully, Kale has a strong support system that includes her own family and Mpumelelo’s mother. This support helps her stay strong as she tries to do what’s best for her child.

When asked about her place in the Mseleku family, she admitted that it’s still something she’s trying to figure out.

“I wouldn’t say I’m part of the Mseleku family, but being around them and spending time with them, I can say it has been a unique and challenging experience for me. I’m still navigating that space. I believe building bonds takes time, and I’m learning as I go.”

Kale’s honesty gives fans a deeper look into the personal side of life as a part of the well-known Mseleku family. As she continues to grow and face the ups and downs of young adulthood, her story is one of resilience and strength.

Izingane Zes’thembu, a spin-off of Uthando Nes’thembu, follows the lives of the older Mseleku children — Mpumelelo, Mpilo, Sne, Lwandle, and Abongwe — as they deal with relationships, responsibilities, and personal growth. Season 3 promises even more drama, and it will premiere on May 25 at 7pm on Mzansi Magic (DStv channel 161).
