Honestly, when Vuzu’s The Hustle started we thought that we would see almost all the best rappers that this country has as judges or even guests on the show but, maybe Cassper chose to sit this one out because of AKA’s involvement.
A number of South African musicians will get the chance to show off their talent and skills to bring two different genres of music together in an upcoming reality show.
Artists including Mi Casa, Cassper Nyovest, Black Motion and Uhuru will work on several collaborations on ‘Coke Studio‘. The show is set to debut on Monday the 24th of August on eTV at 8:30PM.
The show has been quite successful in other countries and has become an international franchise and well like always South Africa has decided to adopt it and give it a local feel.
The show will showcase a number of collaborations from some of our best musicians and award-winning producers. The episodes will go from showing us the process of writing a song, mixing and producing the beats and even the recording and performing process.
In the first episode we’ll be seeing Cassper team up with Mi Casa to create a track all in one day. We’re really looking forward to hearing all the collaborations and maybe this is what SA music needs to bring all genres together again!
