Miss Universe South Africa 2025 Melissa Nayimuli has given fans a glimpse into her beautiful cultural journey to marriage, sharing moments from her traditional wedding ceremony where her husband, film director Mandla N, was officially welcomed into her family.

One thing we are truly enjoying about being African is how deeply we honour culture and tradition when we get married.

The ceremony, which took place in the Eastern Cape, was filled with love, music, and cultural pride, as family and friends gathered to celebrate the couple’s union. The event marked an important step in their journey to marriage, highlighting the significance of tradition and community in African weddings.
Following their post, the couple was showered with congratulatory messages from friends and fellow public figures. Model and Miss South Africa 2020 Shudufhadzo Musida commented, “Melissa N. Congratulations beautiful people.” Media personality Lisa Missouri also shared her well wishes, writing, “Congratulations beautiful.”
Earlier this year in April, Melissa also celebrated Mandla’s birthday with a heartfelt tribute that gave fans a deeper look into their love story. In the post, she opened up about how quickly she fell for him and the qualities that drew her in.
