Man suffers pregnancy symptoms

A British man suffers a rare condition that means he knows exactly how it feels to be pregnant.

Mike Dowdall – whose girlfriend Amanda Bennett is actually pregnant – gets morning sickness, food cravings and hot flushes and has gained two stone since the symptoms of his unusual condition, known as Couvade syndrome, started.
The 25-year-old man told The Sun newspaper: ”Anything Amanda’s body does pregnancy-wise, mine does too. I’ve never felt so rough.”
Some experts believe the condition is down to a high level of female hormone in Mike’s body, but others think it’s caused by various factors such as anxiety about fatherhood.
