Beauty entrepreneur and interior design lover Lungile Thabethe recently celebrated her daughter Liyana’s first birthday with a heartwarming message and a beautiful party.
The party was full of soft pink and white decorations, balloons, and a cute Minnie Mouse theme. It was a joyful celebration for little Liyana, who turned one on 19 June 2025.
Lungile shared a touching open letter to her daughter that captured just how much she means to her. She wrote:
“To My Beautiful Daughter, On your very first birthday, I wanted to write you something special—something you could read one day and know just how much you’ve meant to me from the very beginning.
Watching you grow this past year has been the greatest joy of my life. You are truly a marvel to me—so full of life, so vibrant, intelligent, curious, and incredibly beautiful, inside and out. Every smile, every little milestone, every moment with you has felt like a glimpse of something sacred. You’ve brought color and light into my world in a way I could never have imagined until you arrived.”
She continued by sharing how she always knew she wanted to be a mother and how Liyana has fulfilled that dream in the most perfect way:
“I’ve always known that I wanted to be a mother, but I also always felt that I was meant to be a mother to one special and brilliant child. And God, in His perfect wisdom, chose you. You are my one and only, my biggest blessing, my answered prayer.”
The message ended with a powerful reminder of her deep love for her daughter: “No matter where life takes you, I want you to remember this: you were loved long before you understood what love was, and that love will never fade. You are my heart in human form. I am so proud to be your mom, and I always will be. With all my love, Mommy.”
Lungile first shared her pregnancy in May 2024. At the time, she posted: “The Bible says that motherhood is a blessing, ordained by God, full of hope, full of joy, an unfading beauty, a high calling, worthy of honor, worthy of praise. I thank God for my GREATEST GIFT OF ALL. We made a wish and you came.”
Liyana is Lungile’s daughter with South African DJ Lesego Nkaiseng, better known as DJ Speedsta. From the sweet words to the lovely birthday party, it’s clear that little Liyana is surrounded by so much love.
