First it was Minnie Dlamini, now Lootlove opens up about being compared to Bonang on the Live show. The TV presenter stopped by Gareth Cliff’s show to talk about her new gig and winning a reality show competition amongst other things. Turns out she expected the comparisons between herself and Bonang.

Asked if it sucked always being compared to the queen of media, Lootlove said she was okay with it. “You can’t fight that. I mean if you step into such a big platform, with a very big personality behind it, you can’t really expect people to not compare you,” she told Gareth.

Lootlove said she wasn’t a loud sort of extra presenter but very calm, eventually people were okay with her being calm and Bonang being loud and it worked out.

Loot also spoke about being cyber bullied when she first started out because of her height and knees. “People pick at all sorts of random things when they can’t really be mad at your presenting skills,” she said.

“I’m trying to make a living but everyone doesn’t want you to succeed as much as you’d assume they would.”
