Lockdown’s Linda Sebezo Opens Up About Her Time In Prison! The veteran actress recently won the Golden Horn Award for Best Supporting Actress in a TV Comedy, Lockdown.
Maybe the star does the role justice because back in 2008 she spend three months in prison for a crime she didn’t commit. Sebenzo recently opened up about her time behind bars and how it affected her.
The actress was arrested in 2008 at her Cleveland home in Johannesburg for possession of Mandrax worth R5-million. She recently told Move magazine that the time she spent in prison was a “dark time”.
“Heh. It was a dark time. I was in Sun City Maximum Prison (Johannesburg Correctional Centre) for three months,” she said.
“I don’t know what depression is. I have never let my life be destroyed by circumstances. I decided long ago to live my life the best way I want to and that’s what I am doing”
