Legendary Musician Dr Steve Kekena Dies. The entertainment industry has been mourning some of its legendary patrons over the past few weeks and it looks like the sad times are still to continue. This after another music icon has reportedly passed away today.

South Africa is currently mourning the death of legendary musician Dr Steve Kekana who died at the age of 63. The Take Your Love musician died early on Thursday morning according to his manager Xolani Majozi and more information surrounding his passing will be later shared with public.

There are no details about the cause of death at this point in time however, reports have alleged that Kekana died after suffering from a short illness.

“Yes it’s true, Ntate Steve Kekana is no more. He died in the early hours of this morning and we are waiting for more details from the family,”

“I spoke to his wife and she confirmed that he’s no more. He was fine the last time I spoke to him. I spoke to him last week over the phone and we were having an event around him but had to cancel due to the latest lockdown regulations.” Majozi said.

Kekana developed his singing talent while in school and broke into music in 1979. Dr Steve was not only a musical legend, but he was also a lawyer and radio presenter who morphed into his role as an advocate and law lecturer. The legend has also produced more than 40 albums during his career which spreads over three decades. Fans of the musicians have expressed the shock over the news of the musicians death and have taken to social media to offer their condolences and pay tribute to the late singer.
