Lebo M Finds Love Again With American Influencer After Ending Engagement With Mel Ntsala

Just months after ending his engagement with Malefu “Mel” Ntsala, Grammy award-winning composer Lebohang “Lebo” Morake, famously known as Lebo M, has already found love again. The celebrated producer is now engaged to American beauty and lifestyle influencer Tatiana Dixon, also known as Besso.

According to Sunday World, the announcement comes just as Lebo M is preparing for the African Icons concert in Durban this Heritage Day, an event honouring the late Joseph Shabalala, founder of Ladysmith Black Mambazo. Dixon, who lives in Los Angeles, has flown in to support him and the couple is currently staying at a luxurious beachfront hotel while he promotes the concert.

According to insiders, Lebo M proposed to Dixon shortly after ending things with Ntsala. “To say she is the cause of him breaking off the engagement would be undermining his intelligence. It all boils down to choice, and he chose Besso – she won,” said a source, according to Sunday World.

The relationship between Lebo M and Ntsala reportedly fell apart due to lifestyle differences. “He thought he had made the right choice, but Mel was not living up to Lebo’s standards. She was still going out until the early hours of the morning, spending recklessly – there was a lot,” the insider revealed. The final straw, according to sources, was when Ntsala arrived very late to his event The Dream and The Dreamer in August.

While his relationship with Ntsala crumbled, Dixon quietly entered the picture. Described as calm, grounded, and graceful, she was said to have been around for some time, waiting for the right moment. “She has always been in the picture, and he just needed to choose someone who was grounded,” the source added.

Dixon recently showed off her dazzling engagement ring on social media with the caption: “Every love story is beautiful, but ours is my favourite.” Friends and fans quickly flooded her with congratulatory messages.

This isn’t the first time Dixon has supported Lebo M. In April 2025, she reportedly attended his Cape Town concert with Hans Zimmer, keeping their relationship under wraps while staying at a luxury hotel at the V&A Waterfront. The two were also spotted enjoying romantic outings in Cape Town during that period.

The pair reportedly met through a mutual friend in the US in late 2023 and have maintained their relationship across continents, with Dixon visiting South Africa multiple times.

Despite public speculation, Lebo M’s publicity manager, Simphiwe Majola, insists that Dixon is primarily a business partner. “She is in fact Mr M’s business partner from Los Angeles, a creative powerhouse working closely with him on upcoming international projects,” Majola said. “The real story of significance here is the groundbreaking work Mr M is doing for South African talent globally.”

Even so, Lebo M himself has spoken openly about the end of his relationship with Ntsala. “I believed in giving love a chance, but after ongoing financial discrepancies and unexplained late-night absences, I had to put my peace of mind and dignity first,” he said.
