Media personality and content creator Lasizwe Dambuza has celebrated a major milestone after winning his first Content Creator Award at the fourth annual Content Creator Awards, sponsored by Samsung.
The prestigious ceremony took place at The Galleria in Sandton, South Africa, on Saturday, 17 October 2026. The event was hosted by Mpho “Popps” Modikoane and brought together some of Mzansi’s most popular content creators and digital personalities.
Lasizwe walked away with the award for YouTube Creator of the Year, marking a special moment in his content creation journey. With 1.2 million subscribers on YouTube, he has built a loyal audience that continues to follow his entertaining videos and celebrity interviews.
Some of his biggest views come from his YouTube show, Awkward Dates, where Lasizwe goes on dates with Mzansi’s celebrities. The show combines delicious food with conversations about their lives, careers and everything in between, giving viewers an entertaining look at their favourite personalities.
The Content Creator Awards congratulated Lasizwe on his achievement, sharing a message celebrating his success and connection with his audience.

Beyond taking home a trophy, Lasizwe made sure his presence at the event was remembered through his fashion choices. The content creator changed into two outfits, bringing different styles and dramatic details to the red carpet.
For his first look, Lasizwe made a bold statement in a dramatic black mermaid-style gown featuring a long, flowing train that spread across the floor. The outfit featured a sculpted white neckline extending down his bare chest, creating a striking contrast against the black fabric. He completed the look with a wide, flat black headpiece, dark sunglasses and a black cane, giving the ensemble a daring, high-fashion feel.
His second outfit offered a different take on red-carpet fashion. Lasizwe wore a tailored brown textured ensemble consisting of a cropped blazer and a matching fitted skirt with a sculpted waistline. He paired the outfit with a mustard-yellow shirt collar that framed his neck, while his exposed chest added an unexpected twist to the sophisticated look.
Holding his Content Creator Awards trophy and smiling for the cameras, Lasizwe showed off another memorable fashion moment, combining modern tailoring with dramatic styling.
