Lamiez Holworthy Breaks Her Silence After Fans Pull Her Hair And Violate Her Privacy. Being a celebrity is hard in the sense that fans tend to dehumanize them and treating them as though they are objects. This recently happened to radio and club Dj Lamiez Holworthy, who was violated by fans at a recent gig she was playing at.
Taking to twitter, the aggravated DJ shared that this is not the first time that she has had her space and privacy violated by fans during an event, but never to the extent of her recent encounter. Lamiez shared her confusion of how someone could pull her hair while other touched her bum in the midst of security trying to defuse the situation. This is her 11th year in the industry and according to the DJ, it is the first time that she has been involved in a situation such as this.
“I’ve had 2deal with alot of chaos at gigs(as patiently as possible) But I need you to help me make sense of som1 legit PULLING MY HAIR whilst one or two others touched my bum as security tried to escort me out. In the 11 years that I’ve done this,I have never felt so violated” she wrote.
She followed her tweet by giving her followers an idea of the extent that the chaos was, revealing that not even a total of eight body guards could have defused mayhem. The Metro FM DJ stated that she loves what she does for a living but what she hates is how people tend to objectify her, forgetting that she is a human just like everybody else.
“8 bodyguards and even that wasn’t enough! I love what I do but I hate what it comes with. People forget that you’re human and instead treat you like an object” she wrote.
