Rapper and podcaster L-Tido is making headlines after a surprise kiss with rapper and actress Anele Zondo, also known as Ney The Bae, on the latest episode of his podcast. The flirty moment quickly went viral and caught the attention of YouTube, which flagged the video as “sensitive content.”
The popular podcast episode aired on Wednesday and featured an open and light-hearted conversation between L-Tido, whose real name is Thato Lloyd Madonsela, and Anele. Things took a playful turn when L-Tido complimented Zondo by saying, “Your lips look soft.” Zondo playfully responded, “Are you trying to taste?” Moments later, the two actually shared a kiss on camera, surprising many viewers.
Shortly after the episode dropped, YouTube put an age restriction on the video, requiring viewers to have parental or guardian permission to watch it. This move caused L-Tido to speak out, both in the media and on X (formerly Twitter), where he even tagged YouTube directly.

“I don’t know why that happened, but people are assuming that other people tried to report it in hate, but things like that happen on YouTube where they try to limit the video,” L-Tido told The Citizen.
Despite the warning from YouTube, the rapper doesn’t seem too bothered by it. He said the video’s performance hasn’t slowed down at all and is still gaining lots of views.
“But it hasn’t stopped anything ‘cause the video keeps on growing, it’s still getting the views. I don’t know, maybe that negative situation—people are not taking it for what it is,” he said.
“After all, it’s a kiss, guys; there was no nudity, nothing crazy like that. It’s just maybe an unusual thing happening,” he added, defending the moment.
The episode was about more than just the kiss. Anele Zondo opened up about her life, including her upbringing and the father of her child, giving fans a deeper look into her personal story.
L-Tido admitted he had a feeling that the episode would get people talking, but even he was surprised at how big the reaction was.
“Obviously, I knew to a certain extent that it’s gonna create a lot of talkability, but not to this extent,” he shared.
