Kim Jayde Invites Keke Palmer to Visit Mzansi

Zimbabwean-born television host Kim Jayde had fans smiling after sharing a fun and exciting moment with American actress Keke Palmer during the Cannes Lions 2026 festival in France.

Kim is currently attending Cannes Lions 2026, which is taking place from June 22 to June 26 at the Palais des Festivals et des Congrès in Cannes, France. The international event brings together some of the world’s biggest brands, media platforms, tech companies and creative leaders to celebrate innovation and excellence in advertising.

Speaking on her Instagram Story about the experience, Kim explained why she made the trip.

“Cannes Lion is the international festival of creativity and I would say it’s the biggest in the world. This is where all the major brands and tech companies and media platforms come and show out.

“I flew myself out because I believe in consistently educating myself, gaining international insight and this is probably the best opportunity.”

While enjoying the festival, Kim had the chance to meet actress, singer and television personality Keke Palmer at the Ciroc Athletic Club at Cannes Lions. Their interaction quickly became a favourite moment for many fans.

In a playful exchange, Kim jokingly asked the Hollywood star, “Keke when are we bringing you to Mzansi?”

Keke responded enthusiastically, saying, “I mean that’s the real question. That’s what I’m trying to figure out. I need to come up there and turn up with y’all. Talk with y’all, laugh with y’all. Like I need to get in the way.”

Not wasting the opportunity, Kim immediately began planning the actress’s dream South African getaway.

“I’m going to bring you to Mzansi. We will host you. We need a safari moment, we need Cape Town, Camps Bay, beach moments.”

Keke was clearly on board with the idea and added, “We need to do a little brunch.”

Kim then promised to give the actress the ultimate “soft life” experience. The light-hearted conversation ended with the two women sharing a warm hug and saying “love you” to one another.

The sweet exchange quickly got Mzansi talking, with many local celebrities and fans becoming excited about the possibility of Keke Palmer visiting South Africa. From safari adventures to beach days and brunch dates, many are already hoping that Kim Jayde’s promise becomes a reality and that Keke will soon experience everything Mzansi has to offer.
