So Kid X may seem like the new kid in the Hip Hop space but we think it’s been a little over a year since K.O promised us that we’ll be getting an album from this talented man very soon.
The Hip Hop space is not the only place where Kid X had to play the role of being the new kid in class, the rapper says that that’s a role that he’s had to play almost his whole life moving from school to school.
The Se7en hit maker was recently interviewed by DJ Capital on CliffCentral and the rapper reveals that he doesn’t remember a time in his life where he wasn’t the new kid on the block.
“I kept moving around (as a kid). So many places. I’ve been to like 7 or 8 different schools throughout my school life, and so I’ve always been that new kid that had to acclimatise to a new surrounding.”
In his various school changes Kid got the opportunity to meet a fellow rapper, Kwetsa. Just last week in an interview with DJ Capital, Kwetsa revealed that Kid X was quite the loner in school.
If you haven’t noticed Kid X has an attitude that sometimes makes you wonder if he’s putting on a cool act or if he’s really just too kool for school. He reveals that he developed this attitude at the age of 10 when he felt that he’s done it all and has the t-shirt to prove it.
“By the age of 10, I felt like I had lived my entire life and I was done. The first 10 years of my life were wild as f*ck. I did it all. I was a soccer star. I thought I would pop,” he says.
“After 10, in terms of my character, I started to be more laid back and put thought behind my actions, and not acting wild,” he adds.
So you want to know what it takes to be cool?…first things first…do everything and anything in school but wait, most of you that are reading this right now are probably out of school.
Well the next step is, just act cool at all times!
