So it’s quick how fans can turn on one, well after all in football you do get fans and then you get supporters of the game and if you’re on the side that doesn’t care about what will happen  with Khune, then you’re clearly a fan.

Speculation about Khune leaving Kaizer, the team that made him basically is growing and well everyone is just waiting for the outcome. However Kaizer Chiefs seem to be confident on Khune staying on their side, after all he is their best goalkeeper.

Kaizer Chiefs also won’t hold Khune back if he wants to leave.

Bobby Motaung has cleary stated that Chiefs is not threatened by their rival teams Orlando Pirates and Sundowns larger money offer they have given to Khune despite of his contract ending soon.

Kaizer Chiefs had already struggled over the weekend with the news of striker Kingston Nkhatha  signing to SuperSport United next season.

Bobbhy Motaung also emphasised that this does not mean they would be held for ransom by Khune or his overseas agent.

At the end of the day Khune needs to make up his mind about where his career in football is headed.

Bobby Motaung was quoted saying: “We don’t wait until a contract expires before negotiating. It’s business for some people to use it as bargaining power – and we know that game.

“The bigger picture is how that benefits a player in the long run. Players like Doctor Khumalo and Donald “Ace” Khuse still have a bright future at the club long after their careers are over.

“Some players want the quick buck. I don’t have the machinery to break the bank. Personally, Khune knows where his bread is buttered.

“It’s about his pocket – and about loyalty as well. He is sleeping very well and gets paid well every month.”

He then added: “If a bigger offer comes and it’s about money for him – then he has our blessing.

“Khune is our captain and is not under pressure, even if he wanted to talk to us three months from now. We are waiting for his agent to get back to us.”

On Kingston Nkhatha  Chiefs is still trying to decide whether or not to release him now or at the end of his contract in June. Kingston Nkhatha   has been having a difficult time with fans booing him lately.

Said Motaung: “Nkhatha said he needed to go away and discuss the way forward with his family, and the next thing I read in the papers that he had signed.

“I think he got backed into a corner by all the pressure from fans and needed to make a call for himself. It puts us under pressure, deciding when to let him go.”

So now we wait, will Khune stay with Chiefs or take his talent somewhere else?
