Khanyi Mbau’s Luxury Car’s Allegedly Get Repossessed. According to City Press, trouble has come knocking on Khanyi Mbau‘s door after the bank was given the go ahead to repossess her luxury cars due to outstanding installment payments.
The process allegedly began in September when Standard Bank proceeded with attempts to have the two instalment agreements for the 2015 Porsche 912 Carrera and the 2014 Mercedes-Benz ML 63 AMG cancelled and taken away.
The publication claims that Mbau allegedly failed to respond to the court papers that were handed to her on time however, Khanyi responded to the allegations claiming that she never received the court papers on time.
After allegedly missing two months of payment, her accounts are in arrears and the odds are against her as the court is in support of the bank, leaving her no choice but to hand over her cars.
Mbau had allegedly advised the bank a month ago that she sold the Mercedes-Benz before receiving the court orders however, she is still confused as to why the bank is wanting to repossess her Porsche as she claims that she is only one month in arrears.
“I obviously don’t know why they couldn’t pick it up that I have sold the car. I think there is a misunderstanding here. I will talk to them next week, because it’s already a weekend, to understand why they have done that” Mbau said.
It is reported that Khanyi missed payments for three consecutive months starting from March this year, but has since settled those fees. The cars are valued at R1.5 million each and Mabu was allegedly paying approximately R28 000 for each car.
