Nine-year-old Kairo Forbes, daughter of South African music legends DJ Zinhle and the late rapper AKA, is already making waves in the modelling world. With a dream to become a top runway model, Kairo is sharing her journey and inspiring others to follow their own passions.
In a heartfelt Instagram post, Kairo encouraged her millions of followers to chase their dreams, no matter their age. “In 2025 chase your dreams, no matter your age!” she wrote, adding, “I’m 9, and I’m already working toward one of my biggest dreams; becoming a top runway model! Every pose, every step, and every moment brings me closer to the dream I see in my heart.”
Her message is simple but powerful: age doesn’t limit potential. Kairo urged everyone to believe in themselves, work hard, and never give up. “It doesn’t matter how young you are; if you can dream it, you can do it! Believe in yourself, work hard, and never stop shining your unique light,” she said.
Kairo took a significant step toward her dream in November 2023 when she made her runway debut at the Ackermans Spring/Summer fashion launch. The experience was even more special as she shared the moment with her mother, DJ Zinhle. On Instagram, she proudly shared: “This is summer! My first time walking in an actual fashion show! What made it even more special was that I did it with my Mama at @ackermans_za Spring Summer launch!!!”
