Media personality Pearl Thusi has shared her thoughts on the constant criticism and backlash she faces on social media, particularly on X (formerly Twitter). Taking to the platform, Thusi expressed her confusion and frustration about the negativity she regularly encounters.

“I’ll never understand sometimes the level of hate and disrespect I get here. I just live my life, and how that upset so many people I’ve realized is not my concern to understand,” she wrote. “But if lying and dragging my name makes you happy, I’m glad I brought that short-lived happiness. I hope you guys never experience what you’ve put me through. Without God, I wouldn’t have survived that and still continued rising. I’m truly living proof that only God can destroy what and who He’s built.”

Despite the harsh criticism, Thusi remains resilient, focusing on her own happiness and personal growth. “Once you’re happy for YOU, no one can change how you should feel. Always choose YOU. And remember that God is the one who provides you with blessings other people don’t think you deserve.”

In her post, Thusi also took a moment to express gratitude for the support she’s received over the years. “I’d like to thank and focus on the people who’ve prayed, loved, and supported me through my success, silence, and setbacks,” she said. “I may not know all your names but please know that I’m so grateful, thankful, and hopeful. May God continue blessing all of you abundantly and thank you for the love and strength that’s been channelled through you to me over the years.”

Thusi ended her message on a positive note, wishing her followers a beautiful 2025 despite the challenges she has faced.

And more importantly, I’d like to thank and focus on the people who’ve prayed, loved and supported me through my success, silence and setbacks.

I may not know all your names but please know that I’m so grateful, thankful and hopeful.

May God Continue blessing all of you…

Once you’re happy for YOU. No one can change how you should feel. Always choose YOU.
And remember that God is the one who provides you with blessings other people don’t think you deserve. 🤍
