K Naomi Explains Why She Turned Down Being On The Reality Show, #MommyClubShowmax. The Mommy Club is a reality series about five glamorous moms who seemingly have it all. It’s an all-access inside look at the lives of the one percent and the people who help them build their empires and raise their heirs.
The show is currently streaming on Showmax, with new episodes every Tuesday. Some of the cast members include former Real Housewives of Joburg, Mrs Mopps, actress Omuhle Gela, fashion luxury girl and entrepreneur Ms Manche to name a few.
It turns out the cast almost had media personality K Naomi in the mix. The new mom recently revealed during an Instagram Live with her followers that she was approached to be part of the show but declined the offer just before signing the contract.
“I declined the day before we were meant to meet. It was just a matter of signing the contract. When I had to sign the contract I was just like, ‘I can’t’. When I watch it now, I’m like, ‘it’s dope’. People are getting a lot from it. A lot of people are watching, it’s trending which is really dope. The show is doing really well,” she revealed.
Detailing why she declined the offer, the media personality said, “I don’t think I’m ready to open up at that level and share so much of my life with people. It’s not a lot actually, it’s really just about (the show) being a mommy, your kid and the nanny but the problem would be people I’d have to be around. I don’t feel like you guys would get a genuine K Naomi when I’m around people I’m not used to. So that was very awkward for me.”
“Cause now these aren’t my friends so the whole time I’m like either pretending to be cool… I also don’t think I’m that flamboyant. You won’t hear me say, ‘I drive an M4, if you see me in an M4 that’s what I drive but I won’t… I’m not boastful. I feel like they needed that side and I wouldn’t have been able to give them that. So I’d probably be the boring girl on the show if I was there. That’s the reality of things and it wasn’t worth…what I was going to get from it (the money) wasn’t worth exposing my private life like that. I don’t care about the exposure,” she added.
