Reality TV star from The Real Housewives of Durban and content creator Jojo Robinson has shared a hopeful update following her recent surgery.

Last week Friday, 10 April 2026, Jojo Robinson underwent skin surgery after being diagnosed with invasive skin cancer. Before the procedure, she opened up to her followers about her condition, explaining that doctors needed to remove several cancerous areas on her back. Now, Jojo has returned with positive news after the surgery. Taking to social media, she shared an update on her recovery and reassured her followers that the procedure was successful. She wrote, “Peaceful afternoon walks. All my results post surgery came back with clear margins, Dr Mc Garr was able to remove it all for now. Yes they will  come again but next time I’ll catch it sooner and surgery wont be necessary (i hope) Swipe to the end to see how my back is doing post surgery. Get your skin checked.”

In her message, Jojo also encouraged people to take their health seriously and seek medical advice if they notice anything unusual. She added, “start here, these are my doctor’s if your not sure where to My dermatologist is @dr_len_nel And my surgeon is @drpaulmcgarr I would suggest if you have anything on your skin your worried about go see Dr Len Nel and let him have a look.”

She further praised her medical team, saying, “He is phenomenal and should it turn out to be anything bad the absolute best at the surgery part would be Dr Paul Mc Garr, not only is he an amazing if not The BEST plastic surgeon but he also specialises in surgeries for health related things like skin cancer.”

Jojo also used her experience to raise awareness about the importance of early detection. She explained that catching skin cancer early can make a big difference, as it allows for less invasive treatment. She noted that many people may not even realise they have it, as it is more common than expected.

“I remove the stitches on Friday. Also  to all my social media fam I love you. The beautiful words and messages and love were overwhelming i wish I could have replied to  everyone personally,” she added, expressing gratitude to her supporters.

Her update has not only reassured fans but also served as an important reminder about taking care of one’s health and getting regular skin checks.
