J Something Opens Up About His Humble Beginnings! The singer is now one of the most sought after artists with his band Mi Casa often touring the world.

A TV show and cooking book to his name and a successful restaurant. But life wasn’t all success for J who recently opened up about his early career jobs including cleaning.

“At the time I was doing gospel acoustic music that really wasn’t any good… he listened and tried to help but it really wasn’t his forté and if I am brutally honest I just wasn’t good enough at the time,” he said.

J says he finally decided to get a job and found one of cleaning th studio for some of the biggest artists in the country.

“I ended up managing a studio and cleaning the studio rooms and setting them up for the big stars that walked through the doors (people like Hugh Masekela, Joyous, Brian Temba, Jamali, Sipho Hotstix)…

“I did that job with such passion and commitment, honoured to be in the presence of all these stars,” he added.
