“I’ve Been Wanting to Explore It for a Long Time” — Boity Thulo on Her Passion for Interior Design

The event, known for bringing together top stars, fashion lovers and entertainers, saw media personality and rapper Boitumelo “Boity” Thulo make a stunning appearance — and reveal something unexpected.

While many know her for her music and vibrant personality, Boity shared in a chat with Independent Media Lifestyle that she’s preparing to step into a new creative world: interior design.

The 35-year-old star opened up about her future plans, saying, “I want to figure out how to merge it with voice and make it me, but still enjoy something that I’ve been wanting to explore for a long time.” Her love for interiors isn’t a new interest, but rather something she’s quietly been passionate about for years.

Boity described herself as “a multifaceted, multi-dimensional person,” explaining that her creativity doesn’t begin and end with music. Instead, she wants to explore all the different ways she can express herself — and interior design is next on her list.

Although she hinted that fans might still get some new music from her this year — “Um, possibly. I might drop some new music this year. We’re still working on it,” she said — Boity is clearly excited about expanding her artistic journey in new ways.

When it comes to her personal style and sound, she says both come from the same place of self-expression. “For me, music and style, they’re so similar. I like what I like. I want to express myself the way I want to express myself.”

Her individuality shines through, especially in how she avoids chasing trends. “I’m not really a person who follows the latest trend,” she added, proudly standing by her authentic and unique approach to creativity.

From music and fashion to soon designing beautiful spaces, Boity is proving that her talent truly has no limits.
