Muvhango actress Phindile Gwala was arrested over the weekend for allegedly driving under the influence.
Sunday World reports that the actress spent a few hours behind bars after she was arrested bey Johannesburg Metro Police for drunk driving.
Sandton Police spokesperson Warrant Officer Moses Maphakela confirms that the actress was in fact arrested for driving under the influence and adds that a drinking and driving case was opened against her.
“The charges were withdrawn at the Randburg Magistrate’s Court on Monday morning”, Moses added.
