Last year our gift for Reconciliation Day was AKA and Cassper making up and deciding to squash the beef, as soon as this year started all gloves were out again and the beef was on.
It seems that the two rappers will never see eye to eye but Cassper has made it clear that he’s moved on from the beef and is focusing on bigger things.
As we all know Cassper made history by successfully filling up The Dome. The rapper had a sit down with Sizwe Dhlomo on MTV Base Behind The Story and he briefly touched on his feud with AKA.
When asked about AKA, Cassper shares that he really doesn’t want to talk about that story anymore. “I don’t wanna talk about it anymore. It’s not gonna end, man. This is one of the most important interviews of my life and I don’t want the highlight to the interview to be Kiernan (AKA). It’s over for me.”
Sizwe then went on to ask him if they would ever make up and Cassper insisted that it’s over: “It’s over for me… I’m far ahead of all of my fights and beef, I’m far, man. I just had meeting with like the minister, I mean two hours before this [interview]. I’m talking about how we’re going to inspire kids and how we’re going to change the country, and I think I’m just putting stains on something beautiful by entertaining that thing.”
He adds: “I’m not going back there [to the beef]. Maybe you might hear it in a song ’cause it’s just me expressing myself because it’s not something to get out of your mind, constantly it comes back… But I’m never going back there…”
Sizwe the assumed that the beef has been squash and the rapper makes it clear that nope, this doesn’t mean the beef has been squashed: “It’s not squashed. Squashed would mean that we get along or we tolerate each other. No, I am moving on, leaving it. I’m the one who’s leaving it… If he decides to carry on performing Composure, it’s for him and it will make him happy.”
Cassper then adds that he’ll never perform Dust 2 Dust again to prove that he’s moved on from the drama. “Same way I left perfoming beef, it’s over. I left it…”
