Vuyokazi, best known from the reality TV spin-off Izingane Zes’thembu, first won fans over with her quiet charm and gentle personality. Today, she’s letting the world in on a different side of her life — sharing her journey of self-love, the bold decision to transform her body, and the exciting plans she’s building for the future.

In a candid interview with DRUM, Vuyokazi shared why she decided to go for a mommy makeover. “I wasn’t happy with how my body looked, especially after I lost weight. I had a lot of excess skin, particularly my tummy, and my breasts had no support; they were literally hanging, and it wasn’t nice standing in front of the mirror and seeing myself like that. I genuinely didn’t enjoy being overweight. Plus, surgery for me was a more efficient solution rather than a lengthy gym routine, and I’m 100% happy with the results,” she said.

Although the recovery hasn’t been easy, she’s embracing the process. “The recovery process is a bit tedious, but I take it one day at a time. My back is still swollen as they had to transfer fat from the back for my tummy tuck, but it’s not as bad because initially I couldn’t stand up straight, but now I can, and I’m recovering well.”

Vuyokazi also runs successful businesses selling phones and wigs. She explained that her team is working on new strategies. “People are supporting my businesses, and I don’t take that lightly; it’s been very instrumental in my success. We’re busy working on new strategies… Once I’m fully healed, then we will be back full force.”

When asked about her future in TV, she teased, “People should just be on the lookout, because last time I trended a lot, things were said, and things were leaked, but there’s so much coming.”

Despite being in the public eye, Vuyokazi has learned to ignore criticism. “I’m stronger now because I’ve been bullied and dragged a lot, especially last year… Even now, a lot of people have been criticising my surgery saying I don’t look great, and I don’t take it to heart nor pay attention to that because I did this for myself… People forget that I’m human before being a public figure, and if they don’t like me, they must just unfollow me.”

On her love life, she admitted she’ll never go public again. “I would never go public with my relationships ever again… The only time I’d ever go public is if I see the other person is genuinely into it for the right reasons and not to trend using my name.”

She also expressed frustration at being compared to her baby daddy’s current partner. “What I really hate is people… comparing me to the other woman, and I wish people could just move on from that and stop bringing up my past.”
