With over three decades in the music industry, the legendary Grammy-winning R&B group Blackstreet is finally bringing their soulful sound to South Africa for the first time. Formed in 1991 by Chauncey “Black” Hannibal and Teddy Riley, Blackstreet has been a cornerstone of R&B, delivering timeless hits like “No Diggity,” “Don’t Leave Me,” and “Before I Let You Go.”

Speaking to IOL Entertainment and commenting on the  Blackstreet’s tour, Vertex Events’ executive director Thato Segaole expressed their pride, excitement, and readiness to host the legendary group. “We are proudly bringing yet another amazing performing act for South Africans to enjoy. We have always set an impeccable tone and standard with our productions, and this tour will be no different.

“The team is eager and ready to execute unforgettable shows at all mentioned venues,” said Segaole.

Presented by Vertex Events, the highly anticipated tour kicks off on Friday, 25 October, at the Sun City Superbowl. The excitement continues with a second show on Saturday, 26 October, at SunBet Arena in Pretoria, and culminates with a final performance on Sunday, 27 October, at Grand Arena GrandWest in Cape Town.

According to ZiMoja, the renowned South African singer-songwriter Lwah Ndlunkulu will join Blackstreet on stage. Her soulful voice and heartfelt lyrics are sure to complement Blackstreet’s classic R&B sound, making this tour a must-see for every R&B lover.

Fans can expect a memorable experience as Blackstreet delivers their beloved sing-along classics alongside Lwah Ndlunkulu’s powerful performance. This historic tour promises to be a celebration of R&B like no other, blending international legends with South African talent for an unforgettable musical journey.
