Celebrity traditional healer Gogo Skhotheni has sparked online conversations after revealing that she is getting married again. This comes after her publicised split from her ex-husband, Monde Shange.
In a post shared by @izidabazabantu, Gogo Skhotheni took to her Instagram stories to hint at her upcoming nuptials. She expressed her nervousness over the lobola negotiations, admitting that they were taking longer than her first experience.
“My negotiations didn’t even take this long the first time. Manje lawa (these negotiations), I’ve never been so nervous bangaze bajike nawo (they mustn’t change their minds),” she wrote. Despite her anxiety, she also shared messages of excitement, declaring, “This is the day the Lord has made, I will rejoice and be glad all day,” and celebrating the moment with “Becoming Mrs..” and “Kufezeka amaphupho (dreams are coming true).”
In another clip, a conversation between Gogo Skhotheni and her ex-husband Monde Shange surfaced, where she seemingly confirmed that the lobola negotiations were underway, saying, “They [are] busy negotiating as we speak ngise kamereni (while I’m in the room).” However, Monde appeared caught off guard by the news and responded with surprise, saying, “You’re not making sense. Kanjalo nje (just like that)? But anyway, all the best.”
Gogo Skhotheni’s update sparked mixed reactions, with many questioning whether it was genuine or just a publicity stunt. Skepticism grew after a picture surfaced showing a man placing a ring on her finger.
Social media users were quick to share their thoughts, with @Ennocen62861023 criticizing her for thinking about her ex during lobola negotiations, saying, “Mid your lobola negotiation, you thinking about your ex… angeke, we living a fake life.” @Tatted_Makoti also doubted her claims, stating, “She’s lying, this one. In one of the pictures, the ‘gent’ is allegedly her brother. She’s just clout chasing.”
