First Look At Wiseman Mncube As The Wife’s ‘Mqhele’! Earlier this week, Stained Glass, the production company behind The Wife, has confirmed that Wiseman Mncube will play Mqhele in S3 of the award-winning Showmax Original telenovela.
Wiseman replaces Bonko Khoza as Mqhele, a role fans of the show have been wanting for him since the beginning. He shared his excitement on his new journey saying, “What actor wouldn’t want to be part of The Wife? Mqhele is a very interesting role and I’m in my element: there’s a lot to chew on and play off, from the love story to the anger to the care. uBonko carried the role with so much respect and power. I’m not here to replace Bonko but to start my own journey as Mqhele and take things from where he left off and run with it in my own way.”
He later took to social media to react to all the positive reception from the fans of the show whilst sharing a first look photo of himself as Mqhele.
“I’d like take this time to thank the people who have welcomed me after the announcement that I’ll be joining The Wife and that I’ll be taking over from Bonko Khoza who played the role Mqhele. Thank you very very much for the love and support I’ve received … I’ll do my best,” the actor captioned the photo.
