If you thought twitter rants were things of the past, think again. Barely a week into the new year, leader of the twitter rants AKA has come out guns blazing blasting the idea of Awards and lists. “F*ck an award, f*ck a list,” AKA in his first 2017 twitter rant.
The rapper says he won’t allow “some powerful” people to validate his worth by ‘patting his back’ with an Award when they feel he has done well. AKA says let the people decide.
“I’m not going to give someone sitting on some committee, or in some office have the power to validate me. The people will decide,” he ranted.
With that said, AKA says he’s not saying Awards don’t mean anything. He just doesn’t see their value at this point and time in his career. “I’m not saying awards don’t mean anything, I’m just saying …. right now, at this point …. I don’t see their value in my career & life.”
