Family of Renowned Poet Jessica Mbangeni Thanks Fans Ahead of Funeral Arrangements

The family of renowned praise poet and singer, Dr. Bishop Jessica Mbangeni, has expressed their heartfelt gratitude to her friends, fans, and supporters for the overwhelming love and support following her passing. In a statement released on Monday, 9 September, the family thanked everyone who attended her memorial service and provided details about her upcoming funeral.

According to Daily Sun, Jessica Mbangeni, who passed away at the age of 46 after a short illness on Saturday, 31 August, will be laid to rest in her hometown of Nqamakhwe in the Eastern Cape on Saturday, 14 September. The family shared that the theme for the funeral will be traditional attire, honoring her roots and love for cultural heritage.

“Bantwan’abahle, on behalf of the Mbangeni family, we would like to extend our heartfelt thanks to everyone who attended the memorial service for Dr Bishop Jessica Mbangeni. Your presence, love, and support during this time have been a great source of comfort to our family,” the statement read.

Mbangeni’s family expressed deep gratitude for the respect and admiration shown to her since her death. “We’re truly grateful for the outpouring of respect and admiration shown towards Dr Mbangeni. And for standing with us as we celebrated her remarkable life and contributions to the arts and culture.”
