‘Don’t Come Here Without A Degree,’ Muvhango Producer To Aspiring Actors! Muvhango might arguably be the soapie with the most graduates or qualified actors and actresses and the show’s executive producer plans to keep it that way.

With Sindi Dlathu, Brian Themba and Raphael Griffiths gone, Muvhango is set to cast new members but Duma Ndlovu has warned aspiring actors and actresses to stay away if they don’t have a degree.

“I am very unlikely to hire someone who does not have an acting diploma or degree, unless it is somebody who has been in the industry for a very long time,” he said.

Ndlovu says there’s a massive difference between someone who studied the craft and someone who didn’t.

“The person who has not studied would not know the difference. Most youngsters on Muvhango are from the likes of Afda, Tshwane University of Technology, Durban University of Technology. These institutions offer strong academic programmes,” he said.

“I feel very strong about this and I talk about it all the time. If you want to be an actor go to school and study drama, that’s it.”
