DJ Zinhle Opens Up About Her Break Up With AKA And Moving On

AKA and DJ Zinhle’s relationship has been underground for the past three years and well when they finally came out about it we really thought that we would be hearing wedding bells soon.

It’s only been about a week since their break up and the two still insist that they are very good friends. (Read the break up statement here.)

Even though it’s only been a week there have been quite a number or rumours surrounding their break up, the biggest one being that AKA was having an affair with entertainment queen Miss Bonang Matheba. (Read how DJ Zinhle found out about the affair HERE.)

Zinhle was recently interviewed by Gareth Cliff on CliffCentral , and besides them not being together anymore she insists that they’re still really good friends.

“He’s a very good friend of mine. He’s my best friend. I’m very proud of him for even trying to learn about my tradition and what’s important to my family. The family love him. He’s family. We’re all family. Kairo has made us all a family.”

When asked about her future plans and relationships, the DJ says that it’s a little too soon to be thinking about moving on.

“I guess I’ll see what the universe has to throw at me and hope it throws good things,” she laughs.

“I’m just not mentally ready. When I know what kind of guy I want,  I haven’t defined the kind of person I want next. Until then, I can’t say I’m ready to see someone else.”

Sounds like the words of a really mature woman and mother. We really wish both family’s well for the future and who knows, maybe the two will get back together soon.
