DJ Sbu has been ridiculed by many, supported by many and everything in between thrown at him as an entrepreneur. The radio DJ has been sharing his struggles and success with his energy drink Mo Faya on social media but did he just get his big break? Did DJ Sbu sell 26% stake of MoFaya to Coca Cola?

Did DJ Sbu Sell 26% Stake Of MoFaya To Coca Cola?

On the first of April, DJ Sbu took to social media announcing Coca Cola had just bought a 26% stake of Mo Faya for a whopping  R493 million.

Coca Cola didn’t release any statement which made us question if DJ Sbu was pulling the same stunt he did with that Forbes cover. Well, turns out it was an April Fool’s joke and he sure did get everyone.

“Ladies & gentlemen. Thank you for playing along w/ my April Fool’s joke yesterday. @CocaCola did NOT invest in @Mofaya_Official “yet”,” he wrote on Instagram the next day.

Ladies & gentlemen. Thank you for playing along w/ my April Fool’s joke yesterday. @CocaCola did NOT invest in @Mofaya_Official “yet”. But I’m glad they got the message. Our struggle continues! Thank you for all the congratulatory messages ? we don’t deserve them yet. It’s humbling to see many of you have so much faith in us. Thank you. Our future looks bright, it’s just a matter of time.
