This Saturday, 4 January, South Africa’s top celebrities will face off in the much-anticipated final of Celebrity MasterChef South Africa, with style icon Seth Shezi and media personality Dineo Ranaka battling for the title and a chance to make a big impact with their charitable causes.
According to Daily Sun, the two stars will compete for a grand prize of R1 million, with 50% of the prize money going to a cause close to their hearts. Alongside the financial reward, the coveted title of Mzansi’s Celebrity MasterChef is up for grabs.
Dineo, known for her love of food, has impressed fans with her culinary skills throughout the competition. The former Metro FM presenter is the proud owner of The Untrained Chef, a food business listed on UberEats. “The biggest deal for a girl like me who loves to cook,” she shared on Instagram, highlighting how personal and enjoyable the journey has been. Dineo plans to donate her winnings to Powa (People Opposing Women Abuse), an organisation dedicated to supporting women’s rights and aiding survivors of domestic violence.
Meanwhile, Seth Shezi, a trendsetting creative named GQ’s Best-Dressed Man in 2018, is also in the running for the title. He has already raised R20,000 for his chosen charity, Ladles of Love, an NGO that serves nutritious meals to displaced and destitute South Africans. As the only celebrity to win one of the show’s previous challenges, Seth is determined to secure more funds for his cause in the final.
The two celebrities will cook under the watchful eyes of esteemed judges Justine Drake, Katlego Mlambo, and Zola Nene. Who will take home the title and make the biggest impact with their charity? Tune in to The Celebrity MasterChef South Africa finale, airing at 8:30 PM on S3 this Saturday.
