Dineo Langa Scores A Major Hosting Gig. Musician and actress Dineo Langa has been in the spot light for some years now and has some very impressive career milestones under her belt. Langa has been announced as one of the official hosts for this years South African film and TV Awards (SAFTAs), alongside two other hosts who are no stranger to the public.
Taking to its social media account, the awards platform revealed that this years instalment will be hosted by The Estate actress alongside comedian Mpho Popps and Espresso host Graeme Richards. According to the reports, the platform will kick off the ceremony with a virtual red carpet to see what the attendees will be donning on the glamorous evening.
The virtual carpet will be hosted by reality star and YouTuber Lasizwe alongside radio host Lerato Kganyago from 18;30pm until 19:00pm. The event will be broadcasted on Mzansi Magic and SABC 3 on Saturday May 22. Due to the pandemic, the ceremony will take place virtually where the winners will be announced. The awards will be delivered to recipients the following week according to the platform.
We often forget the hard work that goes on behind the scenes of our favourite programming, and the platform has created the Craft Awards, to honour the people behind the scenes. The SAFTAs have revealed that the ceremony which will also be taking place in a virtual setting on May 21st will be hosted by our fave bubbly girl Lesego Tlhabi alongside Tracey Lange.
Taking to Instagram, Lesego shared the amazing news claiming that this has been a dream for her and was part of her vision board in 2020. The ceremony will be taking place on YouTube on May 21st at 19:00pm. Tlhabi’s friends and followers have been flooding her with congratulatory messages, wishing her all the best.
“On Friday 21 May, @traceylange and I are hosting The Craft Awards which celebrate the people who work tirelessly and with brilliant attention to detail, to make the magic behind the scenes to bring you your favourite movies and TV shows. I literally had this on my 2020 vision board. I am beyond excited and grateful and still in disbelief” she wrote.
Congratulations to the hosts that have been selected to host the ceremony.
