Denise Zimba Shares How Babalwa Mneno Helped Her On Her Come Up! In case you’ve forgotten, we were first introduced to Denise Zimba through a reality show on Vuzu which followed an upcoming dance/singing group of four girls including choreographer Takkies.

Fast forward to now, Denise is solo and doing her thing but she has not forgotten her humble beginnings. The media personality recently sat down with Pearl Thusi where she opened up about staying true to themselves as a group when it was hard to break into the industry and how Barbilicious came to their rescue.

“We would go to parties and she would be like ‘you guys are here everyday, what’s the situation? and we were literally like ‘we’re just tryna make it in the industry, we just finished art school, no one is tryna hear us unless we sleep with people and that’s not what we’re trying to do,” Denise told Pearl.

Denise shared how Babalwa helped them get into events and gave them money to pursue their careers. Denise says that is why she will always defend Mneno on anything.

“People don’t know this but she is the most genuine, loyal person I’ve ever met in my whole life. And I’ll always stand by her whatever discussions are around her name and who she is,” she added.

Babalwa responded to Denise’s shoutout tweeting, “if u are close to me, u wil know!!!! @MissDeniseZimba God bless u babes 4publicly, in ur own way standing up for me when my character has recently been tarnished!!! Very few friends can do such!!! Love u my energizer bunny.”
