Dawn Thandeka King Shares How She Feels About Exiting DiepCity. Actress, Dawn Thandeka King known as Mashenge on Mzansi Magic’s DiepCity has announced that she has left the popular telenovela.

The award winning actress, who has also acted on SABC 1s ‘Uzalo’ as MaNgcobo broke the news on Wednesday that she is bowing out after two years acting on the telenovela. In an Instagram post the actress expressed her thanks and devoted support for growing in her character and the telenovela’s production team—cast and the audience.

“I say goodbye to yet another amazing woman, Thandile Jele aka Mashenge, it has been an honor to be a vessel to such a powerful character, I hope she was able to teach through her story. Thank you @blackbrain_sa for the opportunity. Thank you to my onscreen family @hamiltondlamini @iamnozuko @luyanda_s_ it was truly and honor . Love you always. Thank you to the entire cast and crew of @diepcitymzansi161. Thank you to the audience that welcomed and loved Mashenge. Till we meet again ♥️,” King wrote on Instagram

Her exit comes after her role as Mashenge in the telenovela came to an end after her tragic death. The actress is set to act in a few film productions, ‘Shaka Ilembe’ being one of them.
