A couple forked out £8,000 to cater for their four dogs at their wedding
Spendaholic Louise Harris splashed out on outfits for her four pooches, Lola, aged nine, Lulu, six, Lolly and Larry, both four, and spent R6 282 on doggie treats to ensure her canine companions would see her tie the knot with penny-pinching Daniel Hill, a presenter from Channel 4’s ‘SuperScrimpers’. She told the Sunday People newspaper: ”For me it was important the dogs were included in my big day and had everything they needed. I had hoped they might sleep peacefully all day, especially since calming dog beds can make a difference in a dog’s behavior, but decided that doggie daycare was the best option.
”The weather was quite warm so there were paddling pools, toys and each dog had a four-poster bed in a chill-out area. The extravagant expense comes after 33-year-old Louise splashed out £20,000 on Lola’s ”wedding” to Mugly, who has been crowned the world’s ugliest dog, but they were ”divorced” just a year later because they didn’t see each other enough.
