Connie shared how Sundays would be their day dedicated to laying on the carpet and talking about everything at their hearts desire. The actress spoke on how much she misses his physical presence even though, she can still feel his spirit. Connie revealed how she hasn’t had the courage to lay on the carpet since her husband got sick leading up to his death.
Connie being blessed to see another day made her realize that she has a lot to be thankful for. She refers to her God given courage as supernatural strength as she also wasn’t aware that she was capable of doing it.
“Today is carpet Sunday. I miss my person. Every Sunday we’d just lie on the carpet and talk about everything under the sun or nothing at all. We’d just lie here and be with each other. I miss his physical presence so much but I feel in spirit that he is still with me.
“I haven’t had the guts to lie on the carpet. Since Sho got sick, leading up to his elevation to glory, I just didn’t think that I could do this on my own so today being the 8th day of month eight of one which is 2021, it dawned on me that it is a new day and I bless God for that. I bless God for…I call it the supernatural strength because I don’t know how I am able to do this, it can only be God” she said.
While laying on the carpet by herself, Connie shared a bible verse with her followers that spoke volumes to her and has helped her find a little bit of peace since the storm took over.
“And I will ask the Father, and he will give you another Advocate, who will never leave you. He is the Holy Spirit, who leads into all truth. The world cannot receive him, because it isn’t looking for him and doesn’t recognise him. But you know him, because he lives with you now and later will be in you” she wrote.
The actresses followers flooded the post with uplifting messages and commending her for the strength and courage that she has shown when the chips were down, and we couldn’t agree more.
